Another southern state with a good amount of cheap land for sale is Tennessee. One interesting thing about Tennessee is that it borders eight other states: North Carolina, Georgia, Alabama, Mississippi, Arkansas, Missouri, Kentucky, and Virginia.
Three separate mountainous regions lie in Tennessee so there it's a diverse land. On the east side of Tennesse lies the Blue Ridge mountains with the average elevation of 5,000 feet above sea level. In the middle is the Cumberland Plateau which only rises to about 1,500 to 1,800 feet in elevation. Finally on the west side is the Highland Rim and the Nashville Basin which is a land of a plains starting at the Gulf of Mexico.
